Risk of Acute Kidney Injury Following a Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
Intra-aortic balloon pump?
Congestive heart failure? CHF class III/IV by New York Heart Association Classification and/or history of pulmonary edema.
Patient age >75 years?
Anemia? Baseline hematocrit value <39% for men and <36% for women or hemoglobin value <13.5 grams per deciliter of blood for men and <12 grams for women.
Health care professionals should consider other patient factors, such as conditions and comorbordities when evaluating patients' risk of acute kidney injury.
