Fellowship Grants

J&J MedTech Heart Recovery recognizes the critical role fellows play in the identification, treatment and management of patients. We are committed to providing resources and educational opportunities to support fellows throughout their training.

 

Please read the details below if you are applying from an institution based in the United States:

  • Applications for US fellowship grants may only be submitted between November 1, 2025 – January 31, 2026
  • Applications for US fellowship grants must be submitted by 11:59 P.M. EST on January 31, 2026
  • Applications may only be submitted for clinical fellowship programs within the following specialties:
    • Advanced heart failure & transplant cardiology
    • Critical care medicine
    • Complex & high-risk coronary intervention (CHIP)
    • Interventional cardiology
    • Thoracic surgery
  • Funding may only be used for clinical fellows’ salaries and benefits from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027
  • Funding may not be used for research fellowships
  • Applications should be submitted by fellowship program directors or health system administrators, not individual fellows
  • Funding will be sent to healthcare institutions, not individual fellows
  • Institutions may apply for funding for multiple specialties
  • Programs may be accredited or unaccredited
  • Our Grants Committee reserves the right to award less than the amount requested
  • Prior funding doesn't guarantee future approval
  • Notifications will be sent in April 2026
  • Further requirements are highlighted in grant agreements

  • Applications for OUS fellowship grants may be submitted on an ongoing basis
  • Our Grants Committee reserves the right to award less than the amount requested
  • Prior funding doesn't guarantee future approval
  • Notifications will be sent on an ongoing basis
  • Further requirements are highlighted in grant agreements
