• Review patient journey examples of different Impella devices, coding and wRVUs
• Identify appropriate patient management and evaluation & management (E/M)
services related to Impella® use
• Clarify common physician coding questions related to insertion, support, escalation,
and removal
• Distinguish physician reporting responsibilities from hospital billing requirements
• Apply documentation best practices that support compliant physician coding and
reduce queries or denials
