Simulating Impella® Insertion Utilizing Perfused Cadavers
Target audience: This course is designed for a select group of 9-12 Interventional Cardiologists who have limited large-bore access experience and are seeking to deepen their hands-on proficiency. Ideal participants are early in their adoption of the Impella CP® and RP Flex™ platforms, have limited but foundational experience and are looking to build confidence and competence as they integrate advanced tMCS into the care of high-risk PCI and cardiogenic shock patients they treat. Candidates will be carefully vetted and selected to ensure a high level of engagement, a collaborative environment and meaningful technical advancement.

This 1.5-day course is a lab-based, small group simulation program designed to provide an immersive learning experience through interactive didactic sessions and high-fidelity, perfusion-based cadaver lab simulations.
Participants will:
• Understand the core principles of tMCS.
• Identify appropriate patient selection criteria in the context of cardiogenic shock and RV failure.
• Develop procedural expertise.
• Enhance clinical decision-making and procedural confidence leading to improved outcomes.
