Simulating Impella® Insertion: A Bioskills Lab for Interventional Cardiologists

Target audience: This course is for 9-12 U.S.-based interventional cardiologists with limited large-bore access experience and are early in their adoption of Impella CP® and RP Flex™. Ideal participants have foundational skills and aim to build confidence and competence in using advanced tMCS for High-Risk PCI and Cardiogenic Shock.

Learning Objectives

This course is a lab-based, small group simulation program designed to provide an immersive learning experience through didactic sessions and perfusion-based cadaver lab simulations.

Participants will:
• Cultivate procedural expertise with Impella CP® and RP Flex™ Insertion, Management & Explant.
• Utilize Best Practices for Large Bore Access & Closure.
• Develop appropriate patient selection criteria in the context of High-Risk PCI and Cardiogenic Shock.
• Acquire skills to utilize current Guidelines and data to enhance decision-making.
