Learning Objectives

Course Description: Gain Real-World Insight into Protected PCI

Step into the cath lab for a unique opportunity to observe live Protected PCI cases with Impella® support alongside expert faculty. This structured preceptorship takes you through the entire procedural workflow—from patient selection and vascular access to device management and hemodynamic decision-making.

Following each case, participate in interactive debriefs to review clinical rationale, discuss strategies, and capture key takeaways. Through real-time observation and faculty-led discussion, you’ll gain practical insights and proven approaches to managing complex PCI with confidence.

Learning Objectives: By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Identify appropriate patient populations for Impella CP® with SmartAssist® support.
• Manage common challenges related to large-bore access, Impella® management, and closure with greater proficiency.
• Develop or refine algorithms and best practices for building and sustaining a successful Impella program.

As with any medical treatment, individual results may vary. These risks need to be discussed with your doctor and recovery takes time. The success of this procedure depends on many factors, including your physical condition and your body’s ability to tolerate the procedure. Use care in the selection of your doctors and hospital, based on their skill and experience.
