Impella® Simulation with Perfused Cadavers for Cardiac Surgeons

Target audience: This course is designed for U.S.–based Cardiothoracic Surgeons, across all stages of practice, who are integrating or further expanding the Impella® platform into their surgical practice. Participants must have prior experience implanting Impella 5.5® and familiarity with RP Flex™ and are looking to further refine technical skills and clinical decision-making in advanced tMCS strategies. **Attendees from outside the US need written approval from Professional Education leadership prior to registration.

Excel in Advanced Techniques in a Hands-On Setting
Dive into a full-day, immersive training experience designed for clinicians who want to
elevate their expertise. This cadaver lab-based program combines interactive simulations with expert-led instruction, giving you the confidence to manage complex cases.

Work side-by-side with leading faculty as you practice real-world techniques for Impella 5.5® and RP Flex™ devices—including implant, management, and explant procedures.
Through perfusion-based cadaver labs and focused small-group learning, you’ll gain
practical skills and actionable insights you can apply immediately in your practice.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Identify appropriate patient selection criteria in the context of cardiogenic shock and right ventricular dysfunction/failure.
• Cultivate procedural expertise and best practices with Impella 5.5® and RP Flex™ Insertion, Explant & Troubleshooting per IFU standards, direct and axillary
approaches.
•Deepen skills in applying current guidelines and data to support decision‑making.
