Achieving Surgical Excellence with Impella®: Perfused Cadaver Lab
Target audience: This immersive, lab-based course is designed for cardiothoracic surgeons who are early adopters of the Impella 5.5® and RP Flex platforms. Ideal participants have foundational experience and aim to build confidence and competence in integrating advanced tMCS into their evolving surgical practice.

This course is a lab-based, small group simulation program designed to provide an immersive learning experience through didactic sessions and perfusion-based cadaver lab simulations.
Participants will:
Understand the core principles of tMCS
Identify appropriate patient selection criteria in the context of cardiogenic shock and right ventricular failure
Utilize best practices for Impella 5.5®with SmartAssist® direct and axillary insertion
Execute Impella RP FlexTM with SmartAssist® insertion per IFU standards
Acquire skills to utilize current guidelines and data to enhance clinical decision-making.
